Washington, District of Columbia
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) 2nd District Heliport was one of several landing sites formerly used by the D.C. police force. Located at the 2nd District station, it supported helicopter operations for patrol and rapid response in the northwestern part of the city.
As the MPD consolidated its aviation assets to the South Capitol Street Heliport and other centralized locations, district-specific pads saw reduced use. These facilities were part of an earlier strategy of decentralized air support for the department.
