Year-round, but summer (June to August) offers the best beach weather. Spring and fall are also pleasant with fewer crowds.
Beach access is free. The pier is open from 6:00 AM to midnight. Parking is metered or in paid lots.

Arrive early for parking, especially on weekends. The beach is less crowded than Santa Monica. It's a great spot for spotting surfers and enjoying a more upscale beach vibe.
