Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena at Seattle Center. Originally the KeyArena, it underwent a massive redevelopment and reopened in 2021 as the home of the Seattle Kraken of the NHL and the Seattle Storm of the WNBA. The arena is the first in the world to be certified as zero-carbon.
The venue preserved its historic roofline while completely rebuilding the interior to modern standards. It features a living wall, rain-to-rink water harvesting, and sustainable food sourcing. The arena hosts major concerts and events, setting a new standard for environmentally responsible sports and entertainment venues.
