Columbus, Georgia
Topiary Park, officially known as the Old Deaf School Park, is a unique horticultural landmark in downtown Columbus. It is famous for its living topiary sculptures that recreate Georges Seurat's famous post-Impressionist painting, 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte'.
Located on the former grounds of the Ohio School for the Deaf, the park features over 50 human figures, boats, and animals meticulously pruned from yew shrubs. This 'landscape of a painting of a landscape' offers visitors a whimsical and artistic experience unlike any other public garden.
