Columbus, Georgia
The Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) was founded in 1878 and serves as a cultural cornerstone in downtown Columbus. The museum's collection is distinguished by its holdings of late 19th and early 20th-century American and European modernism, as well as the world's largest collection of works by local artists Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson and George Bellows.
The museum has expanded with the addition of the Margaret M. Walter Wing, enhancing its gallery space and visitor amenities. CMA is known for its community-centric approach, offering interactive galleries like the Wonder Room and hosting the Pizzuti Collection, which focuses on contemporary art in the Short North Arts District.
