Naval Air Station Oceana (IATA: NTU, ICAO: KNTU) is a major United States Navy master jet base located in Virginia Beach. It is the East Coast home of the Navy's strike fighter fleet, consisting primarily of F/A-18 Super Hornets.
Commissioned in 1943, the base occupies over 6,000 acres and includes Apollo Soucek Field. It employs thousands of military and civilian personnel and is a critical hub for naval aviation training and deployment. The base also hosts an annual air show that attracts large crowds.
