Columbus, Georgia
The Ohio Theatre is a breathtaking historic movie palace and performing arts center in downtown Columbus. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb and opened in 1928, the theatre is a National Historic Landmark known for its opulent Spanish Baroque architecture and 21-foot-high chandelier.
Saved from demolition and restored in the 1970s, the theatre is now the 'Official Theatre of the State of Ohio'. Managed by CAPA, it hosts a diverse array of performances, including Broadway tours, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and the BalletMet, serving as a cornerstone of the city's cultural life.
