San Antonio, Texas
The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art venue located along the San Antonio River Walk. Opened in 2014, it retained the historic facade of the original Municipal Auditorium while building a modern performance hall inside.
The center features the H-E-B Performance Hall with a flexible floor system that can transform from raked seating to a flat floor for galas. It also includes the smaller Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater and an outdoor River Walk Plaza for diverse programming.
The Tobin Center serves as a home for resident companies like Ballet San Antonio and the Opera San Antonio. Its distinctive metal veil exterior lights up at night, creating a glowing landmark on the river.
