The Batman Building

The AT&T Building, affectionately known by locals as the "Batman Building," is the most recognizable skyscraper in the Nashville skyline. Completed in 1994, this 33-story office tower stands 632 feet tall, making it the tallest building in Tennessee. Designed by Earl Swensson Associates, its distinctive twin spires resemble the ears of the comic book superhero Batman, a design feature that was intended to conceal mechanical equipment but became an iconic architectural statement.

Located in the heart of the business district, the building serves as a major telecommunications hub. It features a three-story winter garden atrium at its base that connects to an underground parking garage. The tower's unique silhouette is visible from miles away and is frequently featured in establishing shots of the city in television shows and movies, symbolizing modern Nashville's growth and prominence.
