The McNay Art Museum was the first museum of modern art in Texas, founded by heiress and art collector Marion Koogler McNay. It is set within her Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion, which sits on 23 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.
The collection spans 19th- and 20th-century European and American art, including works by Picasso, Matisse, O'Keeffe, and Hopper. The museum also boasts a significant collection of theatre arts, medieval and Renaissance art, and glass.
