The Seattle Amtrak Station, historically known as King Street Station, is a beautifully restored transportation hub located in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. Built in 1906, the station features a distinctive clock tower modeled after the Campanile di San Marco in Venice and serves as the primary gateway for Amtrak Cascades, Coast Starlight, and Empire Builder trains.
Following a major renovation, the station's grand waiting room has been returned to its original opulence, with ornate plasterwork and marble finishes. It acts as a vital link in the regional transit network, connecting intercity rail with Sounder commuter trains and the Seattle Streetcar.
