New York City, New York
Moynihan Train Hall is the new expansion of Pennsylvania Station, located in the historic James A. Farley Post Office building across 8th Avenue. It serves as the main hall for Amtrak and LIRR passengers, offering a spacious and modern travel experience.
The hall features a spectacular 92-foot-high skylight that floods the concourse with natural light. It combines the grandeur of the Beaux-Arts exterior with state-of-the-art modern interiors and public art installations.
Admire the architecture and the "The Hive" ceiling sculpture. Relax in the Ticketed Waiting Room or the Metropolitan Lounge (for eligible passengers). Grab a bite at the Moynihan Food Hall.
Open daily from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM. Avoid rush hours (8-9 AM, 5-7 PM) if just sightseeing. It is a functional transit hub, so it is busy throughout the day.
Fully accessible with elevators and escalators to all platforms. Entrances are on 31st and 33rd Streets mid-block, and 8th Avenue. It connects directly to Penn Station underground.
Features a food hall with curated local eateries, free Wi-Fi, restrooms, nursing suites, and baggage assistance. Red Cap service is available for Amtrak passengers.
Use Moynihan Train Hall for a much more pleasant boarding experience than the old Penn Station. There are no benches in the main concourse, but seating is available in the food hall and waiting areas.
Madison Square Garden, Macy's Herald Square, The High Line (north end), Hudson Yards, and the Empire State Building.
