The USC Medical Center Ground Heliport is located on the campus of the LAC+USC Medical Center in East Los Angeles. Unlike many urban helipads, this facility is situated at ground level to facilitate the immediate transfer of trauma patients.
As a critical link in the regional trauma system, the heliport provides 24/7 access for air ambulance services. It is dedicated exclusively to medical emergency transport and organ delivery flights.
The heliport features a large, dedicated landing pad with direct, unobstructed access to the emergency department and trauma bays. It is equipped with specialized medical-grade lighting and safety systems.
Usage is limited to emergency medical helicopters, including those operated by the Fire Department and private air ambulance companies. It is one of the busiest medical helipads in the Los Angeles area.
