Bamforth National Wildlife Refuge is a protected area located northwest of Laramie. It is comprised of three impoundments and provides habitat for migratory birds and other wildlife.
Wildlife observation and photography are the main activities. However, public access is limited to minimize disturbance.
Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Access is restricted; much of the refuge is closed to the public. Viewing is often done from perimeter roads.
