Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve is the second largest preserved green space in Cape Coral. It features a boardwalk through the mangrove forest along the Caloosahatchee River.
Mangrove boardwalk; Kayak Shack (rentals); Iwo Jima Monument; wildlife viewing (eagles, herons).
Walk the boardwalk trail; rent a kayak to explore the cove; pay respects at the Iwo Jima monument; watch for dolphins in the river.
Winter/Spring (cooler weather and no bugs).

The boardwalk is shaded but bring bug spray; kayak rentals are seasonal (winter/spring weekends).
