About

Texas State Capitol

The Texas State Capitol is the seat of government for the state of Texas. Completed in 1888, the Sunset Red granite structure is the largest state capitol in the United States and stands taller than the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Visitors can take free tours to see the legislative chambers, the rotunda, and the beautiful grounds. The building is a National Historic Landmark and a symbol of Texas pride and history.
