The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area preserves a 48-mile stretch of the Chattahoochee River as it flows through the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Known locally as 'the Hooch', the river offers opportunities for fishing, tubing, canoeing, and kayaking. The recreation area also includes miles of hiking and biking trails along the riverbanks.
