Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, located just across the Columbia River in Vancouver, Washington, preserves an important chapter in the history of the Pacific Northwest. It was once the headquarters of the Hudson's Bay Company's Columbia Department.
The site features a reconstructed wooden fort with trade shops, a fur store, and the Chief Factor's House. The Pearson Air Museum and the Vancouver Barracks are also part of the historic reserve.
Watch costumed interpreters demonstrate 19th-century trades like blacksmithing and carpentry, explore the extensive garden, and visit the air museum to learn about early aviation history.
