Denver, Colorado
The 16th Street Mall is a mile-long, pedestrian-friendly transit mall that runs through the center of downtown Denver. Designed by celebrated architect I.M. Pei, the mall features a distinctive granite paver pattern resembling a diamondback rattlesnake and is lined with over 200 trees, cafes, and shops.
Free hybrid shuttle buses, known as the MallRide, travel up and down the street, connecting visitors to major transit hubs and landmarks like Union Station and the Civic Center. It serves as the city's commercial spine, hosting street performers, seasonal events, and a vibrant nightlife scene.
