Zoo Miami (The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens) is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida. It is the only tropical zoo in the continental United States.
The zoo features a cage-free environment where animals are separated from visitors by moats. It houses over 3,000 animals representing over 500 species and includes extensive botanical collections.
